One thing I don't understand at all is why students show up for class but they do not do any of their work. What's the point? Someone is paying for you to be here, right? Someone expects that you're attending classes in an effort to do well, pass, and move on, right? So why just come to class and do nothing? This aspect about students boggles my mind.
If you're attending class, then you should put in the effort to get the work completed. There's a chance you might actually be right! Succeed! There's no point to attend class for 15 weeks, just to have to retake the same class next semester.
Education is a gift. Treat is as such.

Students like ERICA?
No, not students like Erica. Elliott, that was MEAN! I have had students in the past, and I am seeing a trend with a few now, who never take notes, never turn in anything, never participate, and even never acknowledge me. Typically, these same students are absent frequently. There are so many people out there who want the opportunity to go to college who, for some reason, can't. It's disheartening to see someone throw away an opportunity.
I was just kidding about erica.
But yeah I know what you mean
